Slot Vegas Megaquads slot by Big Time Gaming introduces us to the new Megaquads mechanic that runs four reels simultaneously.
To introduce the new engine, BTG went with the classic Vegas theme. Glitzy, grand, and suitable for the Megaquad reels dominating the screen. Four 4x4 reels during the base can individually produce 256 ways to win, but during the free spins, they merge, giving you extraordinary 16,777,216 ways to win.
Slot Vegas Megaquads is very volatile, with an RTP of 96.59% and the maximum potential win of 45,000x your bet.
The game has two wilds, a standard Wild and a Rainbow Wild. If two Rainbow Wilds appear on two sets of reels that are next to each other horizontally, those two merge into an 8-reel grid until the end of the spin, which expands the paylines to 65,536 win ways. Standard Wilds will also pop up along the 4th and 5th reel of the expanded grid. During this feature, when you land Diamond/Lucky Sevens wins of 5, 6, 7, or 8 of a kind, the corresponding multiplier increases by 2, 3, 4, or 5.
On the left side of the reels, you will see the flashy Symbol Multiplier counter. Whenever you land a four of a kind of a premium symbol, the multiplier for that symbol will increase by x1 and won't reset. Symbol Multipliers are applied to any matching Diamond/Lucky sevens win.
Landing four Scatters will trigger six Free Spins, and every extra Scatter will add +3 FS. Before the bonus round starts, Symbol Multipliers from the base game add up to give you one Free Spins Win Multiplier. The bonus starts with two 4x8 reels, with 4,096 win ways each, that can merge into an 8x8 with 16,777,216 win ways if you land a Rainbow Wild on both grids at the same time. Wins of 4 Diamonds/Lucky Sevens will increase the multiplier by +1, and FS can re-trigger if you land Scatters again.
The new BTG engine and features work great together, ensuring exciting gameplay. The base game is thrilling as you stash the multipliers before the bonus hits, and the potential of 45,000x is tempting. We are yet to see if Megaquads will come close to the glory of Megaways, but it sure would be fun to see it featured in more games.
