This Cookie Notice explains how Viewer Atlas Ltd., operating as Casinolytics (“We”, “Us”, “Our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on casinolytics.com and app.casinolytics.com (together, the “Website”).
1. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small pieces of text sent to Your web browser by a website You visit. A cookie file is stored in Your browser and allows a website to recognise You and make Your next visit easier and the Service more useful to You. Cookies do not typically contain any information that personally identifies a user. In the event Personal Data is contained in the cookies, the same terms apply as set out in the Privacy Policy (https://www.casinolytics.com/privacy).
Cookies can be classified as either ‘session’ or ‘persistent’, depending on how long they last after they are placed on Your browser. Session cookies expire when You close Your browser. Persistent cookies expire at a fixed point in time or if You manually delete them from Your browser, whichever occurs first.
This Notice also covers similar technologies that store or read information on Your device, such as local storage and tracking pixels. In this Notice, We refer to all of them as cookies.
2. What Are the Types of Cookies We Use?
2.1 Essential Cookies: Essential cookies help make Our Website usable by enabling basic functions, such as page navigation, access to secure areas of the Website and the protection of Our forms. Our Website cannot function properly without these cookies, which are strictly necessary to provide Our online service, so they do not require Your consent. Essential cookies that are used on this Website include the following:
(i) Authentication cookies: These are set when You log in to app.casinolytics.com so that We can keep You signed in and secure Your account. The login cookie is kept for seven (7) days. Short-lived cookies also protect signing in and signing up, and expire within one (1) hour.
(ii) Cookie consent cookie: This is set by Our consent management provider, Cookiebot by Usercentrics, to remember the choice You make in Our cookie banner (CookieConsent), so that We do not ask You again and only use the cookies You have accepted. Cookiebot also keeps a record of Your choice so that We can demonstrate Your consent. More information is available in Cookiebot’s privacy policy (https://www.cookiebot.com/en/privacy-policy/).
(iii) Form security: We use Friendly Captcha, provided by Friendly Captcha GmbH in Germany as Our data processor, to protect Our forms, such as the demo, pricing and report enquiry forms, against spam and automated abuse. When You use a form, Your browser solves a small calculation in the background. Friendly Captcha sets no cookies; it keeps two temporary entries in Your browser’s session storage (frc_sid and frc_sc), which are deleted when You close the tab. (iv) Settings cookies: These remember the settings You choose in app.casinolytics.com, such as the time range, language, units, selected brands and table layout, so that pages open the way You left them. They only store Your choices and are kept for twelve (12) months.
2.2 Marketing Cookies: Marketing cookies help Us measure how well Our advertising works. They are not essential, so We only use them if You click “Accept” in Our cookie banner, and You can withdraw Your consent at any time (see section 4). Until You accept, OpenAI’s pixel is not loaded at all, and Google’s tag sets no cookies: it only sends Google cookieless pings (Google Consent Mode) that carry no cookie identifier. The marketing cookies used on Our Website are the following:
(i) Google Ads: Google Ads is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Its cookies (_gcl_au and _gcl_aw on Our domain and IDE on doubleclick.net) record that You reached Our Website from one of Our Google ads and whether You then sent Us a request or created an account in Our app at app.casinolytics.com, so that We can see which ads lead to enquiries and sign-ups. On casinolytics.com the tag loads for every visitor in Google Consent Mode: Your choice reaches Google as consent signals, and the cookies above are set only after You accept. The app at app.casinolytics.com loads the tag only after You have accepted here; Your choice reaches it because the consent cookie is set for casinolytics.com. When You send Us a request after accepting, Your e-mail address is also hashed in Your browser and sent to Google Ads to match the request to the ad (enhanced conversions); Google never receives it in clear text. Once You accept marketing cookies, Google may also use the data to show You Our advertisements on Google’s networks (remarketing) and to build advertising audiences. (ii) OpenAI Ads: OpenAI’s measurement pixel (the __obref, __oppref and __oaiq_consent cookies, together with related entries in Your browser’s storage) records that You reached Our Website from one of Our ads on OpenAI’s services, such as ChatGPT, and whether You then sent Us a request. When You send a demo, pricing, API access or market report request after accepting marketing cookies, We also report that request to OpenAI directly from Our servers, together with Your IP address, Your browser’s user agent, the address of the page You were on and the OpenAI identifier stored in Your browser, so that OpenAI can match it to the ad. We do not send Your name, e-mail address or the content of Your request. OpenAI’s measurement service uses Cloudflare, which sets the __cf_bm and _cfuvid cookies on bzr.openai.com and bzrcdn.openai.com to protect the service against bots. Google and OpenAI may process this information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Our Privacy Policy explains how We protect international transfers of Personal Data.
2.3 Statistics Cookies: Statistics cookies help Us understand how Our Website is used, so that We can improve it. They are not essential, so We only use them if You click “Accept” in Our cookie banner, and You can withdraw Your consent at any time (see section 4). The statistics cookies used on Our Website are the following:
(i) Google Analytics: Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Its cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by Our container identifier) distinguish Your browser from others and keep together the pages You view in one visit, so that We can count visits and see which pages are read. The tag runs in Google Consent Mode: until You accept, it sets no cookies and only sends cookieless pings. More information is available at the Google links under Google Ads above.
(ii) PostHog: PostHog is provided by PostHog, Inc. through its EU cloud, which keeps Our data on servers in the European Union, as Our data processor. It records the pages You view, the links and buttons You click, how far You scroll, how fast the pages load and the forms You send, never what You type, and, once You have accepted, replays of Your visit, together with any errors Your browser reports, in which everything You type and the summary of what You sent are masked. Its cookie (ph_ followed by Our project key and _posthog) and the matching entries in Your browser’s local storage and, for the current tab, in its session storage hold an anonymous identifier for Your browser and the current visit; they are set only after You accept. The cookie is kept for one (1) year; the entries in Your browser’s local storage, and for the current tab in its session storage, stay until You withdraw Your consent or clear them. Until You accept, PostHog still counts the pages You view but keeps its identifier in memory only, so nothing is stored on Your device and nothing survives the page You are on. Our report enquiry form keeps a short list of the enquiries You have sent in Your browser’s session storage, so that one enquiry is not counted twice. It is deleted when You close the tab.

4. How to Control Cookies
When You first visit the Website, Our cookie banner asks whether You accept statistics and marketing cookies. You can click “Accept” or “Reject”, and the Website works the same either way. Essential cookies are always active. You can change or withdraw Your choice at any time through the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of every page of the Website. Withdrawing Your consent does not affect anything done on the basis of Your consent before You withdrew it.
Most web browsers allow You to control cookies through the settings and preferences of your browser of choice. It is possible for You to disable cookies or set Your browser to alert You when cookies are being sent. You can delete all cookies that are already on Your device and You can set Your browser to prevent them from being placed. If You do this, however, You may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
